TYPES OF QUESTIONS TO ASK HER
Opening question: The purpose of an opening question is not to get detailed information but to just encourage the woman to be comfortable and begin talking
Introductory question: Questions are designed to introduce the topic of discussion and to help the woman connect to the topic you use
Transition question: These questions move the conversation where you want the woman to go
Key question: These are central to the research being conducted and require the mose careful and thorough analysis
Ending questions: These questions bring closure to the discussion topic and allow the woman to reflect on your prior comments
Hypothetical question: Asks how a woman might react in a given situation.
Opinion question: Asks for the woman's judgment about something
Factual question: See information that can be proven
Indirect question: Seeks specific information without directly asking for it
Direct question: Straight forward; asks exactly what the interviewer wants to know and leaves no room for ambiguity
Neutral question: Implies no specific or “right” or “wrong” answer
Leading question: Suggests the desired answer
Secondary question: Helps the interviewer better understand the answer to a primary question
Primary question: Begins a new topic
Highly closed question: Not only seeks a specific answer but may even provide answers from which to choose
Closed question: Seeks a very specific answer
Open-ended question: Broad in scope, giving the respondent a great deal of freedom in her answer
